Frederik Horn was newly promoted from Sales Engineer to Sales Manager Scandinavia.

Frederik holds a double degree, Global Business Engineer and Mechanical Engineer, and he has put both to work across sales and projects ever since.

Before CALDAN he worked as a design engineer, learning how a thing actually goes together. These days he spends his time across the table from customers, working out what they need. The technical side tells him whether an idea can be realised. The commercial side tells him whether it adds up. Most projects need someone who can hold both at once, and that someone is usually Frederik.

He hits five years at CALDAN in a couple of months. One of the notable tasks handed to him in his early days was building the CALDAN Academy. Starting with a blank canvas and shaping a solution from A to Z is still the part he likes best, often sitting with a customer long before the building that will house the conveyor even exists. Sometimes the best solution is one the customer had not thought of yet. Finding it together is the whole point.

What he values most is the room to do that. At CALDAN nobody gets boxed in. You are handed responsibility, given space to try things, and trusted to grow into the role. His promotion to Sales Manager Scandinavia is what that looks like in practice.

Outside work Frederik stays active across football, padel tennis, golf, cycling and fitness, with enough on the list to suit every season. The competition is fun. The company is the reason he keeps showing up.
