Steen Svenningsen joined CALDAN as Chief Operating Officer on 16 April 2026, becoming the latest member of the family.

He has a strong background in operations and Lean management and has spent most of his career specialising in production and supply chain management, bringing a significant amount of knowledge to CALDAN. His professional background includes a decade of leadership at EC Power, as well as valuable experience at Danfoss.

Throughout his career, Steen has successfully managed a wide array of complex operational tasks. He has expertise in building supply chain functions from the ground up, executing production relocations, and driving continuous improvement through Lean methodologies. At CALDAN, he is primarily focused on creating structured progress and ensuring that our daily operations remain as efficient and stable as the conveyor systems we produce.

Steen’s leadership approach perfectly balances a focus on business efficiency with a strong commitment to people. Throughout his career, he has worked to create structure and progress in complex businesses.

Originally from Hvide Sande, Steen brings a grounded West Jutland mindset to his professional endeavours. He values an informal work environment characterised by open dialogue and strong teamwork. “I thrive best in an informal environment with open and direct dialogue, a strong focus on collaboration and a sense of humour in everyday work,” he explains. “Already during the interview process, I got a very positive impression of the company and its products, which only increased my motivation to become part of the organisation.”

Outside of work, Steen lives in Stevnstrup near Randers with his two children. He is highly active in his local community and spends much of his free time coaching his son’s youth football team. This commitment to coaching naturally reflects his broader passion for leadership, teamwork and developing the people around him.
